Teani is the Deputy Director of Public Health Division, Kiribati Ministry of Health and Medical Services. He is responsible for co-charing the surveillance and response team for outbreaks, development of health policies, planning and monitoring of public health programs, and human resources for the Public Health division. He also assists with environmental health, health promotion, nutrition, non-communicable diseases, communicable diseases and
health information.
